Not detected
Quick troubleshooting when your RGB device isn’t detected: symptoms → likely causes → steps → verification (USB, drivers, permissions, sleep/wake, and conflicts). This page is intentionally structured so it can evolve into a decision tree.
1) Confirm the basics
- Try a different USB port (prefer rear I/O), avoid flaky hubs.
- Swap cables; some “charge-only” cables won’t carry data.
- Reboot after driver installs; Windows can keep stale device state.
2) Driver & permissions
- Check Device Manager for unknown devices / disabled devices.
- Run the app as admin if the device requires elevated access.
- Watch out for vendor RGB suites that install conflicting drivers/services.
3) Sleep / wake issues
- If it breaks after sleep, try disabling USB selective suspend.
- Disable “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” on relevant USB devices.
